Add a Questionnaire to an Event

Questionnaires help you obtain organized feedback from participants. Whereas polls address trends across an audience, questionnaires help administrators and instructors find areas to better the experience.

Event questionnaires can be automatically assigned after the event and can be set up so that each attendee will need to complete theirs to complete the event.

Navigation: UKG Pro Learning > Admin > In-Class Training or Live Sessions > Manage Events

  1. Locate the event to which you wish to add the questionnaire.
  2. Open the Manage Event drop-down menu for the event.
  3. Select Manage Questionnaires.

  4. Select Create Questionnaire.
  5. Set up the questionnaire by entering a Title and Description.
  6. (optional) Set an Expiration Date for the questionnaire.
  7. (optional) Select the is needed for event certificate checkbox if the questionnaire is required to complete the event.
  8. Add questions to your questionnaire. Questions can be either close-ended or open-ended.
    • A close-ended question consists of a predetermined list of options from which the user chooses a response. Add as many options as you'd like.
    • An open-ended question requires a statement of some kind. The user can answer these freely.
  9. Select Save when you have added all your questions. You are returned to the Questionnaire page of your event.
  10. Make the questionnaire available to participants by moving the Public slider button to Yes.

Add Variables to a Questionnaire

Organizations that frequently use questionnaires to get feedback about their training instructors find the same questions are used again and again, often with the only difference being the instructor's name. To facilitate the creation of a questionnaire without having to copy each question for each instructor, this feature adds a variable, which will help seamlessly auto-populate each question for all instructors in an event. The variable consists of the choice of Primary Instructor, Simple Instructors, and External Instructors.

The variables work dynamically, meaning that if a new instructor is added after the questionnaire has been created, then a new question will be added to it for that instructor.

  1. Create a questionnaire, as explained earlier. 
  2. When creating your questions, select the Add Variable drop-down menu and select the appropriate instructor — Primary, Academy, or External — for the question.

    The variable appears as your selection enclosed in two percentage symbols.

When filling out the questionnaire, the instructor’s name associated with the training will be inserted into the question.

Note:
Variables update each email dynamically and in real time. If an instructor changes within a training, subsequent notifications will reflect that change.

Copy Questionnaires

Questionnaires can be copied from one training to another.

Navigation: UKG Pro Learning > Admin > In-Class Training or Live Sessions > Manage Events 

  1. Locate the event from which to copy the questionnaire.
  2. Open the Manage Event drop-down menu for the event.
  3. Select Manage Questionnaires.
  4. Locate the questionnaire you wish to copy and select the Manage drop-down menu.
  5. Select Copy Questionnaire. A pop-up window appears.

  6. Select the desired destination using the checkboxes.
  7. Select Save.
