Instructors can help Administrators manage Courses, Curricula, and Events. In all cases, an Admin, a Training Manager with Edit permissions, and the Primary Instructor of a Course, Curriculum, or Event can add and remove instructors.
Course Instructors
This role is given to users when they are the course creators or when an admin or another instructor wants them to manage a course. If a user is not the course creator, the instructor's role can be assigned only from within each course and is applied only to the selected course.
Course instructors can do the following:
- Edit Course Info
- Edit Lectures
- Add Poll, Exam, or On-the-Job Training (OJT)
- Invite members to enroll
Course Instructors can also have additional permissions granted to them if those permissions are assigned to their job (Head of Above Unit and Assistant, Unit Manager, and Assistant):
- Send course announcements
- Assign training
- Create in-class training or live sessions for the course
- Assess OJT
Curriculum Instructors
This role is given to users when they are the curriculum creators or when an admin or another instructor wants them to manage a curriculum. If a user is not the curriculum creator the instructor's role can be assigned only from within each curriculum and is applied only to the selected curriculum.
Curriculum instructors can do the following:
- Edit Curriculum Info
- Edit Curriculum Courses
- Invite members to enroll
Curriculum Instructors can also have additional permissions granted to them if those permissions are assigned to their job (Head of Above Unit and Assistant, Unit Manager, and Assistant):
- Send curriculum announcements
- Assign curriculum
Event Instructors
This role is given to event creators or by the event creator to another person to allow them to manage the event registrants' page. The instructor's role can be assigned from within each event and is applied only to the selected event.
Event Instructors can do the following:
- Approve or deny the user's registration
- Assess the user's attendance (Score and time of attendance)
Report Visibility
All instructors can track learner progress and view assessment results in any course or curriculum to which they have instructor access.
Within each course or curriculum, on the Course or Curriculum panel, under Students, instructors have a Course dashboard or Curriculum dashboard. Here, they can review a list of learners associated with that course or learning path.
