Important:
The format and codec of a video must be EXACTLY the same as the ones previously listed. Any change or addition in the format or codec name means that the file has been exported with different options that are not supported.

Uploading a file in an unsupported codec causes the file conversion to fail. In this case, an error message displays with a reference ID code. Save this code in case you need to contact support for further assistance.

Review Your Video Format and Codec 

Before contacting support, ensure you are using a supported video format and codec. 

Check if the format of your video file is supported:

  1. Right-click on the video
  2. Navigate to Properties > Details
  3. Check if the video’s format complies with the supported ones.Format.png

Check if the codec of your video file is supported. This example uses VLC Media player, however, you may use any program you are familiar with to check the codec.

  1. Open the video file. 
  2. Navigate to Tools > Information > Codec, and check if the video’s codec complies with the supported ones. Codec.png

Maximum File Sizes

The maximum upload size depends on the file type and, in some cases, which device you use to upload the files.

Upload in a Browser

The maximum upload file is dependent on the file type:

  • Document files (.doc, .docx, .pdf, .ppt, .pptm, .pptx, .xls, .xlsx, .xlsm, .key) have a maximum size of 267MB.
  • Video, audio, and image files (.3gp, .avi, .flv, .m4v, .mkv, .mov, .mp4, .mpeg, .mpg, .ogv, .webm, .wmv, .mp3, .mp4, .jpeg, .jpg, .gif, .png, .tiff, .tif, .bmp) have a maximum size of 6GB.

Upload in the iOS or Android App

The maximum upload size is 200-300MB.

SCORM files

The maximum upload size is 6GB.

Templates

The recommended size for assignment templates is 1MB or less.
