To keep track of training that takes place outside UKG Pro™ Learning, you need to set your credits as uploadable and allow users to claim that they have acquired certain credits externally.
Set Up Credits
To set up your credits, navigate to your Admin panel and select Credits > Create Types from the left side menu. Create your credit types and connect them to your Credit Rules.
Make sure the Credit Type is uploadable. Under Uploadable, select Yes.
What the End User Sees
Employees and trainees can claim that they have acquired certain credits (from the existing academy credit types) from external training in their personal portfolio. To do so, they need to navigate to the Credits tab of their personal profile (UKG Pro > Me (hover) > My Profile).
- Add the number of credits, by selecting the type of credit from the dropdown list
- Insert the number of credits in the Credits field.
- Insert the date of certification/training.
- Provide the name of training
- (Optional) Upload a document of certification by selecting the Upload button.
- Save
The Approval Process
Once the user provides all the necessary information, you need to approve or decline these credits. The approved credits will appear on the Credits Dashboard.
Navigation: UKG Pro Learning > Admin > Credits > Pending Requests
Expand the Details dropdown to see any pending credits and select Accept or Decline.
You can also revoke these credits from the user.
Reporting on Credits
The awarded credits will appear on the Credits Dashboard.
The user will be able to see the number of credits that they received as well as download the certificate (UKG Pro Learning > Me > My Certificates). The external certificates will appear under the External Certifications tab.
