Administrators can update the preferred content language for their members individually or based on their organizational structure.

Select a Language
From the list of languages, select the desired language. You can also search for a specific language in the search field.
Individual Assignment
- (Optional) Filter the list of members using the Type, Above Unit, Unit, Job, and Additional Fields filters, or search for a specific member using the Search field.
- From the list of members, select the plus (+) icon next to each member you want to include in the assignment. The member will move to the Selected column.
- To remove a member from the list, select the minus (-) symbol.
- (Optional) In the Message field, enter a message to include in the assignment.
- (Optional) Check the Change Curricula Language box to apply the selected language to current curricula enrollments.
Note:
If a member is enrolled in a curriculum that is not offered in the selected language, no changes will be made to the curricula's language.
- Select Set Language.
Advanced Assignment
You can set the preferred content language for multiple members based on their organizational structure. You can also create an assignment rule to automatically assign the language to the selected member criteria in the future.
- Select Advanced Assignment.
- From the Select Job drop-down list, check the box next to each job you want to include in the language assignment.
- In the Above Units and Units lists, check the box of each Above Unit and Unit you want to include in the language assignment.
- (Optional) To add additional organizational structure criteria, select Add More Job/Unit Criteria.
Note:
The Add More Job/Unit Criteria setting enables you to combine assignment rules by using AND, OR, or NOT operators.
- (Optional) From the Choose Additional Fields drop-down list, select an additional field by which to filter the list of members to include in the assignment and complete the field's requirements.
- In the Hiring Date fields, enter a date range.
Note:
Only employees with a Hire Date that falls within the date range provided are included in the assignment.
- (Optional) In the Message field, enter a message to include in the assignment.
- (Optional) Check the Change Curricula Language box to apply the selected language to current curricula enrollments.
Note:
If a member is enrolled in a curriculum that is not offered in the selected language, no changes will be made to the curricula's language.
- Select Set Preferred Language.
Create an Automated Assignment Rule
When creating an Advanced Assignment, you can create an Automated Assignment Rule that will automatically set the selected language as the preferred content language for any member that meets the selected criteria in the future.
- Complete the steps in the Advanced Assignment section to select the desired member criteria.
- Check the Automated Assignment Rule box.
- (Optional) Check the Exclude Existing Academy Members box. The rule will only be applied to future academy members.
- (Optional) In the Profile Name field, enter a name for the rule.
- (Optional) In the Message field, enter a message to include in the assignment.
- (Optional) Check the Change Curricula Language box to apply the selected language to current curricula enrollments.
Note:
If a member is enrolled in a curriculum that is not offered in the selected language, no changes will be made to the curricula's language.
- Select Set Language Now and Set Rule.
