Complete On-the-Job Training Tasks

The On-the-Job Training (OJT) feature in UKG Pro Learning offers four task types: Sign-off Task, Task with Signature, Home Assignment, and Open Question.

There are two types of On-the-Job Training in UKG Pro Learning: Course-Connected and Standalone. To locate your Course-Connected On the Job Training, find the course in question and select the On-the-Job Training Step. To locate your Standalone On-the-Job Training, hover over Training, select the On-the-Job Training tab, find the On-the-Job Training in question and select its title to open it. Once you open your On-the-Job Training, you will be able to see all the tasks that you need to complete.

To complete your tasks, navigate to the On-the-Job Training you want and select it to open it.

Sign-off Task

A Sign-off Task requires the trainee to select a checkmark icon to complete the task.

1. From the step list, select a step.

2. In the task row, in the Signed off by Trainee column, select the checkmark icon.

Note: If the task's configuration does not require sign-off by a trainer, the task is complete when the trainee selects the checkmark icon.

Task with Signature

A Signature task require the trainee to provide their signature to complete the task.

1. In the task row, select Sign Now.

2. In the Sign Here box, enter a signature.

3. Select Save.

Note: If the task's configuration does not require sign-off by a trainer, the task is complete when the trainee saves their signature.

Home Assignment Task

A Home Assignment task requires the trainee to upload a file to complete the task. The file could be a report, a test, or any other document required by the instructor. UKG Pro Learning supports the following file types: .zip, .rar, .3gp, .avi, .flv, .m4v, .mkv, .mov, .mp4, .mpeg, .mpg, .ogv, .webm, .wmv, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .pdf, .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx, .xls, .xlsx, .txt, .mp3, .m4a.

1. In the task row, below the task title, select Upload Home Assignment.
2. In the Home Assignment box, select Upload.

3. In the file upload window, follow the instructions to select a file.
4. Select Upload.

If necessary, you can Download, Delete, or Change the file prior to the completion of the instructor's assessment. The instructor can provide an Evaluation Document for downloading after their assessment.

Note: When a Home Assignment task assessment is complete, you cannot change the file.

Open Question Task

An Open Question task requires the trainee to submit an answer to a question to complete the task.

1. In the task row, below the question, select Answer Question.
2. In the Your Answer box, enter an answer to the question.

3. Select Save Answer.

Note: When an Open Question task assessment is complete, you cannot change your answer.

Your manager or administrator can then rate your performance, upload a revised home assignment and add any needed comments. If your Trainer has uploaded an evaluation document for you, you will be able to download it, right after your assessment.
