An Academy Admin can configure how managers assess On-the-Job Training (OJT) tasks. You can choose whether managers complete assessments, use custom performance levels, or assign numeric scores. These settings help your organization evaluate learner proficiency and track progress consistently across tasks.
Navigation: UKG Learning > Admin > Your Academy > Academy Settings
The Academy Settings page contains all Academy configuration options, including the settings for on-the-job training.
In the On-the-Job Training settings, you can configure whether Training Managers and Academy Admins can create and assign standalone On-the-Job Trainings, as well as whether or not they are allowed to edit On-the-Job Training assessments.
Note: You cannot clear the Admins option.
You can also choose the assessment type used for your Academy's on-the-job training.
The available assessment types are:
- No assessment – Managers are not required to assess learners' tasks.
- Performance levels – Managers use a custom performance scale to evaluate overall task performance.
- Score – Managers assign an overall task score using a scale from 0% to 100%.
If you select Performance levels, define each level by providing a title, description, and color indicator. Managers can review the description while signing off tasks in the on-the-job training dashboard. Hover over a performance level in the drop-down list to view its full description.
The selected color indicator appears after a manager saves the assessment for a task. It also appears in the Assessments Matrix View.
Notes
- You can create up to 10 custom performance levels. After you reach the limit, the Add Level button is no longer available.
- If you delete a performance level, you must select a value from the Replace the level with drop-down list, even if you do not intend to replace it.
