Question pools are a very useful tool in UKG Pro Learning! You can create question pools in order to use your existing questions in other (video) exams. Let's check them in more detail!
1) Create Question Pool
While creating a new question you can click on Add to new pool (at the bottom right) and create a new pool. Give a name to your exam pool and select OK. You can also place your question to an existing pool by selecting the desired one instead of creating a new one. This is an option while creating a question for both standard and video exams.
If you are in a standard exam and not a video one, you also have the ability to add multiple questions to a pool at once. To do so, just click on the checkboxes next to the desired questions and hit "Add All to Poll".
Please note that when a pool is created, it belongs to its owner and can contain questions that each one created within any academy. Non-admin users can only view and add questions from their own pools or admin/training manager pools. They cannot see other users' pools. All admins of the academy can use these groups of questions in order to create new exams.
2) Add questions to your exam from a pool
Instead of creating a new question for your exam you can click on the Exam Pool icon or navigate to the Question Pools from the Exam Panel in order to add an existing question to your exam. You can filter your existing questions by selecting the type of question and the name of the pool. You can also search by Question Name to easily locate the question you are looking for. Once you find the desired question, select on Add to Exam to add it to your exam.
If your exam is a Video Exam, once you click on Add to Exam a pop-up will appear where you can select at which time point of the Video Exam this question should be added. After you save this you have the option to change the time point from the Edit Questions page.
Note: You can add a question to the same exam as many times as you want. Select the Add to Exam button to add the current version of the question to the exam.
3) Update pool questions and sync them to exams
You have the option to update your pool questions, and if you want you can sync the new version to your preferred exam.
